[senco-forum] CAF

I chair a multi agency CAF meeting each week where completed CAF forms are discussed and agencies become involved if appropriate,
I also represent education on another weekly CAF meeting.

Eventually this will be the main non statutory assessment and referral route for multi agency support for young people / families with unmet needs.

The response has been varied:

If people like working with other agencies they are happy
If people prefer to keep to their own professional "boundaries" they are unhappy
People who do not like completing forms think there the CAF form is too long
There never seems to be enough people / resources / time to solve all the problems..........

New system but same difficulties
