Don't know if this is relevant but my son (Sports Science Degree + additional Personal Training qualification but NOT qualified Teacher) has been employed in various Primary schools for the past couple of years doing PE lessons so staff can have their non-contact time. He also does before and after school clubs (football, circuit training etc). He is paid supply teacher rates for the lessons and the children's before/after school 'club' money goes directly to him. He works in a Gym the rest of the time but says the school work is increasing as people get to hear about him. I think he might well end up in schools virtually all the time. It pays more than working in a Gym and he really enjoys it. It might be worth your contact just approaching schools about doing some clubs etc. He would need to check insurance etc but there haven't been any problems for my son. He has asked if there are such things as P.E. specialist T.A.s - what qualifications they would need and how to go about finding such a job. I thought someone out there might know. I suggested approaching special school in the area Any ides welcome Janice Janice Wray Secondary SENCO, Herts _________________________________________________________________ Try Live.com: where your online world comes together - with news, sports, weather, and much more. http://www.live.com/getstarted= |
