[senco-forum] Translations

Hello
  New territory to me but I know there is someone out there who can help.

  After a great deal of investigation, I referred a pupil who is second language English to our Educational Psychologist.  She had advised referral for a Statement.  I don't have her report yet.
  The situation is this:  father's English is pretty good in conversation but mother's is not so he translates what I say for her.  My French is not good enough for me to be sure that he has told her the right thing.  Do I need to insist that I have someone like a French teacher with me?
  What do you advise me to do about the Ed Psych report?  I have to 'translate' these for all the parents!
