Article: [senco-forum] neuroprogramming

Does anyone know about this? A colleague is asking...

Philippa

... child wears a helmet containing electrodes. The brain's electrical
activity is picked up, and can drive a computer game (ie if concentrating,
they can keep an aeroplane in the sky - but when they lose
concentration........) "Through operant conditioning, the child learns to
change the way his/her brain works. Beneficial cortical activity is
increased and dysfunctional activity is decreased (and learning and
behavioural difficulties are also diminished) this is evident on an
EEG......". Most of the above is directly quoted from a site called
"neurofeedback holiday" See also www.learningwithneurofeedback.co.uk A lady
called Melissa Folks does it in the UK. A Doctor Hyams was doing it in the
States.
