Thanks for the welcome. Just a quick response:

Did you note the word 'caution' - and realise that I was speaking about
'other considerations' when thinking about voice to text rather than it
being the only solution?  This would be particularly important when
dyslexia might be just one of the child's difficulties where "If the
speaker learns to speak accurately" may not even be a current aspiration.

Did you also note that (since the original comment was about a year seven
child) I stated 'particularly KS 1-3' where circumstances might just be
slightly different from the year 12 studying for A levels?

At the risk of being even longer I could have mentioned (among others) the
year 11 pupil saved from permanent exclusion by provision of voice to text,
resulted in GCSE's that he would otherwise not have obtained and a raise in
self-esteem as he taught the deputy-head (overseeing his exclusions) how to
use Dragon but I thought we were talking about younger children.

Finally, did you also note that I gave ideas and links to possible means of
evaluation of voice to text?
