Ah, happy days of threading needles; I remember 'em
well.... look up "curved stitching" in a craft book
or one could Google a result.

There is, or maybe now was, a famous A1 Garage roof
structure near Newark done so but with steel rods and
concrete.... a roof that seems/ed to fly.
