'We have recently been told by SLT that all mail going out of school must be in Arial font size 12 . We can downsize to 11 or 10 if it means getting the signature on the same page.' Has anyone asked the SLT what they anticipate happening to the school / world if a message were to be sent out in the wrong font or font size? (Gasp.) Do hand-written messages have to be in cursive script? Is an Italic style permitted? I'd check whether any forthcoming INSET features elocution training if I were you. We really should ask, 'why?' more often. We can downsize to 11 or 10 if it means getting the signature on the same page. For one of my MA module I looked at fonts that students preferred, giving them a choice of six fonts the majority went for Arial with surprisingly Times New Roman in second place and comic sans next favourite. Reading was also more fluent with the Arial than with any other font . I personally like Arial over Comic Sans. gaynor _________________________________________________________________ 100’s of Music vouchers to be won with MSN Music https://www.musicmashup.co.uk -- No virus found in this incoming message.
