| Article: [senco-forum] an inspector calls | |

Our inspection was a week or so before half term. Again Secondary. Tracking, monitoring progress, suitable curriculum for those who can't fully access GCSE. What are we doing about pupils who are underachieving? The good news is...The inspector only wanted our interview for 15 minutes, ( I held her to the chair for 40 minutes!! The bad news... instead of asking ME all the relevant questions about SEN/Learning Support/Every Child Matters/ Tracking etc etc...they then interviewed one of the deputies. I suggest if you are NOT on senior management you make sure that your senior management know all the right answers to the questions which should rightly be put to you! Good luck. Remember it IS only 2 days! Effective tracking, co-ordination of outside agency involvement, support systems & provision, Every Child Matters, etc.etc.... Good luck. (I think, over all, we gave the inspection a 2 = not too painful!) Luisa Pinnell <luisapinnell at hotmail.com> wrote: arrrrrgh!!! the bad news:it's ofsted, my first one as a SENCo. The good news: 2 days, Tues. and Wed. Any words of wisdom, commiseration, etc gratefully received Luisa _________________________________________________________________ The next generation of MSN Hotmail has arrived - Windows Live Hotmail http://www.newhotmail.co.uk --------------------------------- Too much spam?
