[senco-forum] Reading books now forum security

I have always been aware of this, which is why I dont use my school email address. Unfortunately my new yahoo account was set up to include my surname. I can find no way to change this without opening a new account.... If anyone knows how I would be most grateful...
However I think it is always best to imagine that staff and parents may be reading what you post... and phrase things carefully .That said ,some of the most helpful advice on the forum relates to difficult situations with colleagues, I think because SENCOing is such a unique and lonely job.

This is why some of us are a little wary of replying to some items
particularly the more contentious issues. I was talking to one of
the?senior officers?at the Local Authority some time ago and she said
"Oh, so you are the Mike Stroud from the Senco Forum". It then came home
to me that we are not alone.

My headteacher has just been to see me. She pointed out that this is not
a 
secure forum and that other people can access the messages posted on
here. I had 
emailed some thoughts weeks ago about our new school inclusion unit and
she was 
able to read what I had written. This is something we all need to bear
in mind.

Many of the bog companies are jumping on phonics band wagon - but you
need to 
consider the interest level- all those listed below are high interest
but low 
reading age.

Jelly and Bean
Badger Publishing - First Flight etc (older children)
Rapid (Heinemann)
Ann Arbour publishing (phonic chapter books) bit old fashioned looking
fuzz buzz (old but most kids love it!)
