| Article: [senco-forum] being recognised off the forum | |
|
With my christian name it's easy to recognise me. It's not a common name. I've been recognised quite a few times in real life because of my postings on this forum. I can never say "Oh you must be confusing me with another person!" The only surprise that happens is that some think I'm a man ... until they see me! Personally, I think I'm entitled to my opinions and I'm free to express them here or anywhere else. If people don't like them they don't have to read them ;-). The advice I would give is remember that anyone can view the postings. Never give individual names and always alter any situation or case study when describing situations to the forum, e,g. change students "gender" or some specific details. Some may recognise themselves in descriptions in postings but as long as you don't give specific names they'd need to prove it is specifically about them etc you should be ok.
