We always make it very clear to parents and others concerned (usually in review meetings) that a "diagnosis" of dyslexia does not automatically entitle that child to any dispensation in exams. The child has to meet the criteria set by the examining board in order to receive dispensations. A child with a statement won't automatically get it either. It will all depend on whether their levels of difficulty fall within the exam board criteria for dispensation. My statemented child didn’t get any dispensation because his literacy had improved and his scores fell outside the criteria. On the other hand my other child who was not statemented did get dispensation. Cheers Sheridan No virus found in this outgoing message. Checked by AVG Free Edition.
