Article: [senco-forum] Access arrangements

Every bliddy year it's the same - pupils in the sixth form suddenly saying they're dyspraxic or dyslexic or something and need extra time - no provision in their entire lives before, no assessments etc but parents who say there is a 'problem' - or teachers asy their essays aren't up to scrtch but they're good orally - maybe you should teach them to write a flaming essay then - and then I have to get the information about which children are sitting which exams from the subject teachers and the exams officer is pulling his hair out because they aren't entered for the exams until February by which time it's too late for the access arrangements - grrrrr - and why can't we just apply to one lace for say a reader for someone becvause they're going to need every flaming exam read to them - why do we have to apply tp 4 different boards - and sometimes get different answers back - stupid and a terrific waste of time - the Head etc have no idea how much time I spend doing this - in fact - I am going to start logging it right now - in my diary for this year - how many hours I spend doing testing etc
Thanks for listening
