A support group was set up by a psychologist in our area for boys with AS. It didn't work because they had 'nothing in common'. Each of them had a different 'special interest'. Strange really, I would have thought they had lots in common - sensory overload, difficulties in communicating with NTs, etc But really there is very little that people with AS share with each other as even sensory overload, and communication skills differ widely from person to person.
