AMBDA (which I and colleague have) looks good on the various reports for
outside bodies e.g. university  or for extra time assessments ( and
impresses parents ) - as a free spin off from the courses I did years ago (
2 dyslexia modules and 2 SEN modules at Aberystwyth University ) those are
the only uses that I can see as such -  I don't think it actually alters \
affects my teaching which is down to dyslexia modules and experiennce

Hi all -

Looking at the role of the specialist teacher in our school -

Help please!

Do schools give recognition for the above post/qualifications?

What time is allowed for assessing for exams?

 

All feedback gratefully received - at present we employ an independent Ed
Psych - but need some in-house arrangements, hence now have the Diploma in
SpLD from Univ of Edin and going to complete the Certificate in Educational
Testing by Dyslexia Action - may even go for AMBDA status (is this worth
it?) -
