Hello June But it is not prejudice against parents - just an acknowledgement that there are times when some parents are wrong about what is happening in school. Equally, I would acknowledge that there are times when some schools are wrong. I could not possibly claim that every member of staff in my school gets it 100% right with every single child every single day. What I want is a professional approach to pupils and a professional response. And, as a very experienced professional, I can say that I have occasionally met parents whose response to what is happening in school does not reflect what is actually going on. This was for a number of reasons. Surely it is not prejudice on my part to say that I have tried to work with parents whose account of what is happening in school is not what I have said, seen or had reported to me? Yes, there are some absolutely shocking people in the world, but a professional should rise above their personal feelings and get on with their job. Sheridan's comments about step parents are not helpful and add nothing to the request for advice. June --------------------------------- Yahoo! Answers - Get better answers from someone who knows.
