Article: [Bulk] [senco-forum] Bullying by parents

Among the many misconceptions about Sencos is that we get financial
rewards. I can't speak for secondary, but in primary, being a Senco does
not automatically bring management points or membership of the Senior
Management Team - the CoP recommended it, it was never statutory. Even
before the current payscale restructuring, SEN teachers only had an extra
allowance if they were in a special school or unit. Most primary sencos
are also classteachers and have to fit the sen in as well - they are paid
purely as teachers, no more, no less than any other teacher at the same
scale. And that applies in both England and Wales.

This has been raised before, several times. Either people genuinely do
not know or are being disingenuous.

Regards

Jean
