Dear Alice I think each LA has different rules on this. I would contact someone at the Local Authority about this. Having a proper disabled toilet is essential if pupils with extensive disabilities are to be included in our schools. And once you have the disabled loo, there is then a fight to make sure that pupils who need assistance to go to the toilet have the right sort of paid support to do this. Has the pupil actually been in your school? Is s/he on your school roll?
