[senco-forum] assistant senco

Having been a senco in a large junior school for 11 years I have just been given an assistant. I am very pleased about this as it will reduce my workload and enable me to some of the things I never seem to have time to do ie get into class, work with children etc

My query is how best to share the role. Do others share the SENCO role - and how have they divided it up? Has it worked?

My colleague is particulalrly interested in behaviour whereas I am more interested in learning so this may be one way of doing it.

I would be most grateful for any advice or suggestions.
