And then to pose the question : what happens to our ASD kids then... Please don't think you are on your own,as a SENCO I too am constantly 'fighting' for the pupils in my care. With SLT, the class teachers and lunchtime supervisors, outside agencies and even the TAs. And that takes its tole on us. I come into conflict with the many agendas and predudices on a daily basis, it's my job to ensure each child gets the best support I can give, and this often means a 'stand up fight' against others on the staff. richard |
