Janet -- Mary Kelly won't mind me saying -- together we worked such a miracle for a child in her school. Contact her (and me if you wish)?off-line for details. I have a letter -- which i'll have to anaonymise -- that i can send to you -- which sets out the law and the CoP guidance which persuaded her LA to provide additional funding to support a fulltime TA, and quntified monitoring from a SLT and an EP. It's all about reasonable use of LA discretionary powers. And Tribunals can order such provision. But it a rarely used -- or demanded -- discretion. It should be used a gereat deal more wherever neccessary. If parents are paying the normal fees -- it is still saving the taxpayer money if the LA fund the addional SEN provision -- and that is what a statement is for. If so, could you please let me know how you managed to achieve such a miracle! Thanks in anticipation Janet ________________________________________________________________________ Email and AIM finally together. You've gotta check out free AOL Mail! - http://mail.aol.com |
