The first ten reasons are a great start.

Thought about a course? - of course - however the first reqirement is to
convince the Head that CATS are worth investing in.  Then I have to apply
for the funding via the development plan. Only then do I ask to go on a
course!

Have you thought about going on a course to learn about them?
Properly used and analysed the information can be very useful. More reliable
than National Curriculum Tests for a start!
The online version is great in that the papers don't have to be sent away to
be marked.
I personally like the standardised scores for non-verbal, verbal and
Quantitive reasoning.
Used alongside other information, including reading and spelling scores, NCT
scores etc. they help in identifying pupils' abilities, strengths and
weaknesses.
There is a way of identifying learning styles as well from results..I
remember vaguely from the course I went on some years ago.
The results can be used when applying for Access Arrangements for Key Stage
3 NCTs.
I'll leave the other 90 odd reasons for others!

We have stopped using MiDYIS and don't use CATS.  I've never used CATS so
don't know what it would tell me about our pupils - secondary.

What advantage is there in using CATS?
What would we as a secondary school learn about our pupils that we currently
don't know.

100 good reasons needed please.
