Suggest you contact the Dyslexia Association/look at Dyslexia related 
publications. They have oodles of ideas for recording without writing.

Hi thre,

I am just wondering if anyone has any ideas to help. We have a pupil joined 
our school who is Year 5 and she has no Literacy skills at all. She can only 
write her first name and refuses to write any thing else.Obviously, the Ed 
Psych has advised the school that to ask her to write is pointless and we 
need to develop a range of ideas to enable her to record her work and ideas. 
I would be grateful if anyone has any ideas that they can share with us
