We have just done our SEF?SIP and FIP (Faculty Improvement Plan)

I have asked for copies of each depts schemes of work so that TAs can get in 
advance of teh teachers and have point of reference. New head of Design Tech 
is already giving us hers and invites TAs to meetings. This helps us to 
support students who are on catch up when they miss lessons while on day 
release palcement at college.

Each depat to have a memeber of staff who will be identified SEN link 
feeding back to me any concerns that they have within dept .

More TAs and resources (everyone will have this)

I am also toying with the idea of attaching TA to each depart to produce 
differentiated work sheets in conjunction with teachers as many of them dont 
seem to think it is their job. New Head taking this issue on and challenging 
staff that dont . This means that they will need time away from students and 
will need more TAs to cover statements .

Lunchtime social skills club and homework supprt club - space to hold these 
is becoming an issue and what were once successful and used by students 
everyday are tailing off as room is needed for otehr tasks.

Access to training budget for NVQ or HLTA courses for TAs - training budget 
is £600 for 18 TAs. Doesnt go far.
