Have you seen the special 'Mouse' you can get with the really big 'ball', sometimes coloured red. There are loads of sites around that will offer these or spcial buttons. About 50 quid. These are good for minimal hand control as they are harder to make mistakes with. They are sensitive enough to work with, but not as sensitive as the touch screens. Graphics tablets are good, especially for art. One big advantage is that the tablet can go to the child, rather than the child having to go to the screen. No, you don't need to be able to hold a pen/pencil to use these. Also check out "Soundbeam" at http://www.soundbeam.co.uk/special-needs-music-therapy/index.html a fantastic resource for children with disablities. Especially useful as this child has some movement. Useful for music, but can also be used as an interface to the computer, like a mouse, but uses the interruption of the light wave, rather than any physical contact.
