Sometimes Toe by Toe is inappropriate because the pupil will not progress at the rate it does.  I have one pupil for whom this is the case.
  I also have on pupil for whom it was the 'key' needed to unlock literacy.  He now sees himself as a 'weak reader' and not a 'non reader'.  And his self esteem is much higher.

What is the purpose of this intervention? Is this for diagnosed dyslexic 
children, children with specific learning difficulties or those with general 
learning problems that could be associated with delayed development?
