Many a true word in jest.....

I did, to 12 year olds.... 1968 Teaching Practice
in Bradford. In those days with "the Remedial Teacher".

We did in the scouts too.

My daughter can light a fire and camp cook...courtesy of the Guides.

Folk now pay £££ hundreds for senior scout badge type training
and dress it up in jargon words of "bushcraft" and "primitive peoples' 
skills".

Oh, and I knew an Outdoor Ed-er who used Horace Kephart's book when Summer 
Expeditioning.
