Hi Mary!!! me again -- the Autistic Associaition used to do a leaflet explaining ASD. On Ebay currently there are a couple of US books on Aspergers (for a fiver). And loads of books under the Autism title. Some are parents guides. -----Original Message----- From: Mary Kelly To: senco-forum at lists.becta.org.uk Sent: Wed, 2 Apr 2008 18:42 Subject: [senco-forum] Asperger's Syndrome Does anybody know of a very short, easy-to-read pamphlet that might encourage some parents to explore the idea that their child has AS, and not dodge or avoid the realisation please? I think these parents know it really, but are afraid that to formalise it will stigmatise the boy or damage him in some unknown way. That sounds vague, I know, but it's because the parents are not speaking freely to us. They are wary of something, but I'm not sure what it is. Any suggestions?
