Dear Brian, I have counted very slowly to ten and still I cannot let this go. Are our parents and our children somehow lesser mortals than those in maintained schools? Do maintained schools not have to buy EPS services from their devolved funding? Is it not unqualified good news for the autistic, dyslexic and SLI children in my school, that we can now access the same level of advice that their peers in maintained schools can access? Or will you tell us to eat cake? Ah, I haven't lost it then. As for this thread.... I have no idea of the details of the Service Level Agreement and therefore didn't want to comment too hysterically. However, I am shocked that, on the surface, a LA EPS is selling itself to the independent sector and therefore depriving the children and families of its service. Every child, every parent, every SENCO in a maintained school or employee of an LA should be heading to the barricades right about now, I'd have thought. Sorry, you can't have your EP today, she is busy earning cash at an independent school.
