Regrettably, Phillip, such sums as £500.00 are out of the question for many hard pressed, low income, families, that ring IPSEA daily. OK -- their children won't be in private schools. But it is just as difficult for parent of childen in state schools to obtain a sound, detailed, objective, EP report. Certainly it's easier to draw hens teeth than to get one from the LA that recommends / advises on amount and type of staffing provision -- or placement. the families that can't afford private EPs also have a disproportionatley higher number of SEN children. It's these children I care about the most -- there are 1000's of them -- as I know you appreciate.. Is £500 really such a huge amount of money to get the answers you need?. How much is spent on vehicle servicing and repairs, holidays etc. Put it all into perspective, what is really important to your child may need to be paid for just like the less important things like gameboys, toys and all the rest. As I said before a plumber will cost you £500 a day and maybe more.
