Believe it or not ... under Every Child Matters we are all supposed to work together!
  Up here the behaviour services are linking in fast with the Parenting Strategy and also Preventative CAMHs.  We also have a multi-agency behaviour prevention team (MAPT) that employs 3 CAMHs workers for the 8-13 year olds (preventative) to help keep referrals to a minimum and help the CAMHs main team get to younger children quicker / deal with the more difficult cases.  
  We are trying prevention here at the moment.  It's a long and slow battle but we've been trying for 18 months.  Too early yet to see progress me-thinks but we're going for it!  Like Rotherham we are looking at getting some CAMHs into our Children's Centres to really catch them young.  Some of our Clinical Psychs will soon be delivering the Mellor Parenting package with our Ed Psych's  (1 clinical and 1 Ed psych per package)
