I am having a rant.

What a fabulous system. A child is labelled a slow
learner and therefore ruling out Dyslexia. An LA
Dyslexia test is incorrectly conducted and child
passes. Three years of sitting on a 'late developers
table' until child has pronounced low self esteem and
no trust in adults. Results saty pretty much the same
for 4 years. Parent has to fund full EP report
discovers cognitive ability in top 3% , working memory
in bottom 4 along with severe dyslexia. A speech &
language assesment supports possible Auditory
Processing disorder, a paediatrician that ignores
report, school & S&L and blinkers herself to looking
for Aspergers (despite having already been assessed.

A request for Stat assessment, fully backed by school
and a phone call this morning from LEA to say that
child does not meet criteria for assessment.

Rant, rant, rant.

Should I chop his head off? Would this be enough?
 Can I claim for the the hair dye nec for resulting
grey hair?
How can CAT scores be used for tellling a child they
could do better and ignored when a child stands no
chance of ever reaching them.
