Dear all
   
  How do you feel about newly appointed SENCOs having to have a qualification?  I think it is essential but there is not information yet about exactly it would be.  
   
  How do you feel about SENCOs having to be qualified teachers?  Or, if not, to have been in post for six months and to be a qualified teacher in two years.  
   
  How do you feel about the requirement for the governing body to monitor the SENCO's work?  Should SEN be monitored in a different way to the work of the rest of the school?
   
  I am going to respond to the consultation paper and I hope lots of others do as well - we must make sure they know we are all interested in this.
