Doesn't Scotland have a different 'cut off' date? I seem to remember that my 'Scottish' nephew (January born) and my 'English' son (May born) were both born the same year and would have been in the same year group had they both been schooled in England. But my nephew ended up 1 year 'ahead' of my son. Just thought I'd add to the confusion...
