Have a look at the Bobo doll experiment. I think it modelled adult bad behaviour with no consequences which was then copied by children, but, and less often quoted is the fact that it also modelled the same incident with consequences and the children did not copy the bad behaviour. Children need good role models. Maybe behaving adults would be better than behaving children. Not everyone wants to be like their peers and especially if they are bright enough, or too young, not to be swayed by peer pressure. ' Also depends on developmental age. At Primary age the 'Time to Talk' and 'Socially speaking' based groups work well. If it is someone with ADHD and/or dyslexia they are likely to have social skills and other areas showing developmental delay of up to 4 -5 years so this has to be taken into account.
