Article: [senco-forum] Am I banned or is it quiet?

Thanks for this.
It makes me realise I'm not on my own.

I will soon be 59 so I thought I would take early retirement but leave
myself open to do supply.

I did have a boost on Thursday. The school is in special measures and we
were observed by the LEA. They thought I was doing good. The boss wasn't
too pleased about that.

the end, accepted a compromise agreement and left.

I felt thoroughly demoralised, self esteem was at an all time low. I
did find it difficult to find another post, especially as I am in my mid
50s.
However, through supply teaching at a school where they really believe
in inclusive education, I was offered a job. I am now very happy.
There are still places and heads out there who I am sure will appreciate
your experience and qualifications, if you decide to return to teaching.

I wish you all the best. There is still life, inside or outside of a
school!
