I have a tablet laptop. I bought it in October for about £800 from a well known PC supplier. The version I use is HP. It's OK but I find it doesn't recognise my handwriting fast enough so if I tried to use it in a meeting (for example) I'd have to settle for incorrectly recognised words which i correct later or not capturing everything I want. It relies on a spellchecker to suggest words from the 'scrawls' you make on the screen and as such I don't think it would be permissible in examination arrangements as these generally requires the spelling/grammar function to be turned off. I also have a digimemo, which has the advantage of being a handwritten piece of paper (hard copy) instantly as well as being used to convert into text on the screen or saving on a memory card. Maybe I have erratic handwriting but I find the digimemo recognition is not all that great. (By the way - hello I'm new to the forum and have been following the conversations for the last few days, but staying quiet) Ab _________________________________________________________________ Share what Santa brought you https://www.mycooluncool.com |
