Article: [senco-forum] enlarging print for CP pupil

Mary,

I can't personally recommend these, but there are a range on offer at these
sites:

 http://www.magnifierstore.co.uk/

http://www.ic-online.co.uk/

http://www.slips.co.uk/products.php?category_id=132

(this one has a full page magnifyer:
"Flexible lens has a magnifying area that measures 230 x 160mm
(9 x 6.25"). Provides 2x magnification." )

It is not clear whether these are glass or plastic (glass is of course
heavier, but less easy to scratch)

I hope this helps,

Best wishes, Mary

We have a pupil with Cerebral Palsy who needs an enlarged text. We have the
software on his laptop to enlarge the font. The books that he reads have an
appropriate sized print at present but in the future text size is likely to
be too small for him. Sensory Support can offer a 'gadget' for enlarging
text but it would seem far more useful to have a small magnifying strip for
him to place over any book, worksheet etc. Does anyone know of such a
thing? thanks in advance.
