[senco-forum] 1977 versus 2007

Naaa Jeff stick to the 70's.
In the 70's I was a young slip of a thing starting out on my teaching
career.  I was about 3 sizes smaller and had the energy to do a full days
running around a large comprehensive school, go home do the housework and
still go out in the evening to play some sport or other. Noooo! not these
days! I just think about doing it these days.

I have to say in those days I don't ever recall being told to F.O or being
threatened by pupils just for making polite requests. These days it seems to
be a frequent occurrence.
My daughter's first experience of working in a school ( as a TA) has been to
be pushed into a wall, by a pupil  injuring her hand. So it'll be
interesting to see what her memories of school in the 07's in 30 years time.
Will she be saying the 07's were the good old days? What does the future
hold? Doesn't bear thinking about really does it?
