I must be one of the odd ones: no-one in my immediate family had any
problems; neither does anyone in my own family of husband and two
children.  I went into SEN from the start of my career as it was something
that I wanted to do.

However, although neither my sister nor her husband ever had problems, the
middle one of her three sons is dyslexic!

Perhaps we're part of the control group that all research needs!
