Article: [senco-forum] Aston Test

No, it does not, Sharon. The handbook just says that the passage can be
inspected for:

1. Type of spelling error
2. Syntactic structure
3. Fluency
4. Originality of content
5. General Level - as compared with peer group performance.

"A quantitative score may be obtained by giving a maximum of 10 points and
a point being subtracted for any of the following being below standard for
age:

Reversals Punctuation Bizarre spelling Use of capitals
Motor control Use of clauses Fluency of idea Vocabulary Syntax"

It is also intended to be used at Level 2 only, within the Aston Index -
ie over the age of 7.

I hope this is of use,

Regards

Jean

I know this has Free writing as one of its sub tests, but other than a
> simple add up and divide by 5 or 10 minutes for a word per minute score
> does
> it come with any age equivalency or norms? I do not have the books at
> home
> and I need the info this week if anyone can help.
