Article: [senco-forum] draw a man test

It is now known as the Goodenough-Harris or the Machover 'Draw a Person Test'. Three drawings are sought -- male, female and self. It is not a stand alone test and results / inferences should be treated with caution. It should be part of a battery of psychological tests -- usually restricted to a trained in administration Ed Psych -- see:

Does anyone have the details on this test? I recently came across some drawing by one of my pupils receiving literacy support. I was very surprised and alarmed at the immaturity of his drawing. I wondered if the test would support or shed any light on his literacy difficulties. Thanks Dolina Dolina Patterson
