It is now known as the Goodenough-Harris or the Machover 'Draw a Person Test'. Three drawings are sought -- male, female and self. It is not a stand alone test and results / inferences should be treated with caution. It should be part of a battery of psychological tests -- usually restricted to a trained in administration Ed Psych -- see: ? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draw-A-Person_Test ? http://www.ncela.gwu.edu/databases/EAC/EAC0103.HTM ? -----Original Message----- From: DOLINA PATTERSON To: senco-forum at lists.becta.org.uk Sent: Mon, 3 Mar 2008 18:32 Subject: [senco-forum] draw a man test Does anyone have the details on this test? I recently came across some drawing by one of my pupils receiving literacy support. I was very surprised and alarmed at the immaturity of his drawing. I wondered if the test would support or shed any light on his literacy difficulties.
