[senco-forum] [SENco-forum] Assessing and diagnosing for dyslexia

EP's can and do have BAS/IQ tests for IQ that others do not.  However SpLD
diploma holders can use K-Bit for IQ & they can both diagnose & suggest
support strategies for dyslexia.  That is why our LEA have visiting
Cognition and Learning staff that hold these SpLD qualifications then leave
programmes for TA's to follow and do not teach the kids themselves. Bit of a
cop out for some at primary who need more help than this.  Ep's are reserved
for likely Statementing cases or other SEN.
