I would just like to confirm Dolfrog's comments that the whole thing is currently a nightmare. I am six months into it and despite having the support of the Senco, a full Ed Psych report, three speach & language assesments (supporting my hunch) and a paediatric appointment (who clearly knows nothing about it) we are six months in and currently no closer. We have a consultant willing to see him, a PCT that will only accept a referral from a consultant (proving difficult when the Paed is insistant on retesting for any disorder they can think of before they even consider APD). and the next appointment not for another 6 weeks. So yes - it is a nightmare. Luisa Pinnell <luisapinnell at hotmail.com> wrote: Can't a qualified Speech and Language therapist test for APD?
