Article: [senco-forum] ADHD and a 9 year old

There is a new book out published by Continuum which I am reviewing at the
moment which is very practical and helpful.
100 ideas for supporting pupils with ADHD by Geoff Kewley and Pauline
Latham.ISBN 978-0-8264-9660-7
Although it is obviously aimed at schools, so many of the ideas can be
translated into the home situation.
Also, Fintan O'Regan has a second edition out in the SEN series ADHD, also
published by Continuum ISBN 978-0-8264-9234-0
and
No, I don't work for Continuum!!
Best wishes

Hi everyone
A friend's son has just been diagnosed with ADHA. He is 9. He has been put
on drugs apparently.
Anyway, she is looking for ideas as to what she should do next and I
wondered if any primary teachers or SENCOs out there have experience - what
should she ask the school, what can she do to help him, any good books that
you recommend
Thanks in anticipation
Janice
