TES Scotland had a piece about more SEN pupils being able to do exams on computers. http://www.tes.co.uk/2616170 >Exam papers go digital Scotland is the first part of the UK to offer digital papers to exam candidates, as an alternative to scribes and readers for pupils requiring support.< Further information www.AdaptedDigitalExams.org.uk Try One Out http://www.callscotland.education.ed.ac.uk/Adapted_Digital_Exams/Try%20One%20Out/index.php or http://tinyurl.com/4xaky5 -------------------------- So presumably all these pupils could be in one room. I wonder if they get extra time. It takes longer to listen to text-reading software than a normal silent reading pace. I hope the exam setters listen to their papers. I have only listened to a little bit of a sample, but the heading had a Roman numeral I which was read as the name of the capital, 'eye'. How long will it be before this option is available to all pupils in England who warrant a reader? Jean ----------------------------------------- Jean Hutchins, SE Surrey DA.
