Good (ish) news there Chris

I wouldn't have thought that the Insurers would put up much fuss on that
issue. Are you dealing direct of through a claims handling company. I have
always found that the claims handling agents need a bit of a push.

Good luck

Alex

For those who asked me to keep them posted.

My daughter in law came out of hospital tonight after a stressful day
waiting for AXA to promise to pay the hospital bill before they would
release her!
She will actually be able to see her baby for the first time tomorrow.

Also today a meeting took place between my son and his father in law and the
British Consul at the baby's hospital. They learned a little more about the
baby's condition. (He's doing OK for a 29 week baby basically!)

The insurance company have said they will pay for whatever is necessary for
the baby. The one problem is that once the actual holiday my son had paid
for is up the insurance company will only pay for one parent to remain with
the baby although they will arrange accommodation either in their existing
hotel or one nearer to the baby's hospital for both parents if they wish. I
think it's a bit unrealistic to expect my son to leave his wife 2 weeks
after a major operation in a foreign country on her own. (guess who has the
job of arguing that one with the insurance company!!!)

I've also been given the job of sending out birth certificates and their
marriage certificate. I presume so the baby's passport can be arranged.

Next year they are going on holiday to Cornwall in their caravan!

Chris---a slightly stressed mother, grandmother and SENCO whose department
is moving rooms over half term and so has to arrange for everything to be
packed into boxes ready for Friday and still carry out some teaching on the
side..Where's the Brandy........
