If you are going to record pupil voices and use that for teaching you need 
to record it in a very specific way, Audacity will not do it.  Why, in 
education, is everything expected to be free, do teachers work for nothing? 
Do you get your computers for free, your teacher training (for what that is 
worth) for free, your whiteboards? someone somewhere paid for those and 
those who did had no choice in the matter. Pay the man his money.
