We did some work with the switch input but had little influence on the 
content or layout (we did try!)

One thing.  If you are using the Clicker interface with a Mac there is a 
problem with the site detecting switch presses.  This is because the Crick 
software only sends momentary presses rather than switch down/switch up on 
a Mac and as has already been noticed the Mac is a bit slow and thus the 
presses are not being picked up.  Should work of with a Don Johnston box or 
similar keyboard based rather than joystick based interface.  I have 
reported this to Crick but I don't know if they have corrected this yet.
