Yes, i've actually been playing with this recently and have been impressed - it is actually really good as a puff switch - blowing on the mic is detected as a switch and yet talking isn't detected (I used a computer mic with a stereo-mono connector). You can also use it as a vibration switch, (large) muscle switch... You can also buy a kit from maplins for less money (£10!!!): http://www.maplin.co.uk/module.aspx?ModuleNo=31920&doy=19m10 Cheers Simon Clinical Scientist ACT 0121 627 1627 ex 53245 -----Original Message----- From: senit-bounces at lists.becta.org.uk [mailto:senit-bounces at lists.becta.org.uk] On Behalf Of David Colven Sent: 13 October 2006 09:56 To: senit at lists.becta.org.uk Subject: RE: [senit] voice activated switch I think the Wolfson one is the one now sold by QED http://www.qedonline.co.uk/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=233&osCsid=8 533ee991e6bb8236d71852f1f33b852 Sorry about the long URL David At 09:19 13/10/06, you wrote: >I think the wolfson sound switch came from wolfson centre? > >dave mitchell David Colven, Technical Advisor The ACE Centre Advisory Trust 92 Windmill Road Headington Oxford OX3 7DR Web site at www.ace-centre.org.uk something new every week Tel +44 (0)1865 759813 Fax +44 (0)1865 759810 |
