Hi John, we bought one last year, a Geode 19". It has a good sturdy and heavy base, such that it's stable even with a fairly heavy touch to the left or right of the screen. It's a hard glass surface, and a simple style that keeps connections and buttons either at the back or very discretely under the bottom edge. It certainly works well in the classroom, and I think that to damage it a child would have to approach it with the amount of force that would also damage a standard monitor or computer. I think the link below was the company it came from, but am not sure off the top of my head. And having looked at the website it seems to be having a problem at the moment if you try to follow the link to the Geode range - hopefully it may be fine in a short while. http://www.protouch.co.uk/AMAZING/Categories/LCD.htm Regards, Sean O'Sullivan sean.frankwise at easynet.co.uk Deputy Headteacher Frank Wise School, Banbury http://www.frankwise.oxon.sch.uk http://www.parkroadict.co.uk On 20 Sep 2006, at 12:39, John Moppett wrote: > When specifying I have always avoided these, but we have been > offered a special deal by the LEA on PC's, which come with flat > screens. > What experience have people had with these?
